Search, compare and get due-date reminders in the Vault

Ask the Vault in plain words, like electricity bill March last year, compare bills month by month or two contract versions, and get payment due reminders.

2 min read

Once your documents are in the Vault, you can find them with everyday questions, compare periods and let the Vault remind you of due dates.

Search the vault

Type into "Search the vault" as if asking a person, for example:

  • "Electricity bill for March last year"
  • "When does the office lease expire?"

Results include both documents and figures; click "Open the source document" to see the original. You can also just ask in chat, and XomiW looks it up in the Vault to answer.

Tabs give you quick views: All, Timeline, To review, Due soon, Asked, Created (files XomiW made for you), Trash.

Compare

Click "Compare", then choose a type:

  • Month by month (bills, rent): kWh used, electricity cost, VAT invoice totals, rent across periods, compared with the previous period and the same period last year.
  • Prices on invoices: the unit price of each item over time.
  • Two contract versions: which clauses were added, removed or changed.

As the Compare screen says: every number is computed in code from your vault data. In the app, a summary of the comparison shows in the card; the full tables and charts are in the Vault on the web.

Due-date reminders

Open a collection's "Settings" and turn on:

  • "Due-date reminders": payment deadlines, documents that expire.
  • "Unusual change alerts": for example an electricity bill that jumps compared with earlier months.

Due dates in a collection with reminders turned on become reminders automatically; see them in the "Due soon" tab and in Schedule & reminders.

How much the AI may read

In the same collection Settings, choose a level:

  • "AI reads freely": XomiW reads the content and figures when you ask in chat.
  • "Ask each time": XomiW only sees which documents exist; reading the content needs your approval each time.
  • "Store only, no AI": nothing is sent to the AI model; the documents are only for you to search.

Turn on "Allow in scheduled tasks" if you want scheduled tasks to read that collection. On the web, the Vault page has an "Access history" section showing who viewed or downloaded which document, or let the AI read it, and when.
