Send files and photos to XomiW
Attach Word, Excel, PDF files and photos to a message on the web or in the app: file types, the 25 MB and 10-file limits, and what to do if an upload fails.

You send files to XomiW right in the chat: a spreadsheet to summarise, a contract to review, a photo of a receipt… XomiW reads the file and works on it.
How to attach
Web
- In the composer, click "Attach file".
- Choose one or more files on your computer.
- Wait for "Uploading…" to finish, write your request, then click "Send".
Android
- In the composer, tap "+".
- Choose "Take photo", "Choose photos" or "Choose files".
- Wait for the upload to finish, then tap send.
iPhone
- In the composer, tap "+".
- Choose "Take photo", "Choose photos" or "Choose files".
- Wait for the upload to finish, then tap send.
You can send just a photo or a file without any text. On Android, you can also share a file from another app to XomiW: choose "Ask XomiW" to open a new chat with the file attached.
File types and limits
- Supported: Word, Excel, CSV, PDF, PowerPoint, TXT, Markdown, PNG and JPG images.
- Up to 25 MB per file.
- Up to 10 files per message.
Photos taken on your phone get an easy-to-read name with the date and time, for example "Photo 30-10-2026 20.05.jpg".
When an upload fails
If a file fails to upload, XomiW won't let you send the message, so the file isn't silently lost. You can either:
- Click the failed file (or "Retry") to upload it again.
- Click × to remove that file, then send.
Where are my files stored?
Files stay in the chat; find them again with "Files in this chat" in the ⋯ menu. To keep something long term and look it up later, use "Save to Vault".
Does XomiW follow instructions written inside a file?
XomiW treats file content as data to read, not as commands. Sending, editing or deleting anything outside always waits for your approval.
