Approve before XomiW sends, edits or deletes
XomiW asks you before anything that reaches outside the chat. How to read an approval card, click Allow or Deny, and review cards you already handled.
2 min read
Before doing anything that has an effect outside the chat, such as sending something, or editing or deleting data that isn't in the conversation, XomiW stops and asks you with an approval card. Without your approval, it doesn't happen.
Reading an approval card
The card is titled "Needs your approval" and shows:
- The action XomiW wants to take, with its content (an email draft, the file to be sent…). For long content, click "Show all".
- "Why approval is needed": why XomiW is asking you.
- Timing: for example "2 minutes ago · Expires in 23 hours". After that, the card no longer works.
- If the action can't be reversed, the card says "This action can't be undone."
Click "Allow" to let XomiW continue, or "Deny" to drop it. An approval covers that one action only, not every time after.
When there are several actions at once, select the ones you want and click "Allow N selected"; anything not selected is denied. Or click "Deny all".
Finding cards that are waiting
Web
Cards appear right in the chat. The sidebar shows "Needs your approval (N)", and the chat gets a "Needs approval" tag.
Android
Open the Approvals tab (with a count). Choose "Waiting" to act on cards, or "Handled" to look back at cards from the last 30 days.
iPhone
Open the Approvals tab (with a count). Choose "Waiting" to act on cards, or "Handled" to look back at cards from the last 30 days.
Tasks that use a lot of credits
When a task is estimated to use a lot of credits, XomiW asks first, for example "This task will use about 85 credits. Continue?". You decide whether it runs.
Tasks that run while you're away
Workflows and scheduled tasks that run while you don't have XomiW open only read and prepare drafts. Anything sent or changed outside still waits for your approval.
