Skills: teach XomiW the way you work

Skills store your templates, rules and writing style so XomiW applies them by itself. Describe one, save it from chat or upload it; test it and manage versions.

Every company has its own way of doing things: letter reference numbers, who signs, fonts, report templates. Skills are where you teach XomiW these things once. After that, whenever a related task comes up, XomiW applies them by itself.

Find the Skills page

Web: sidebar → More → "Skills". App: Account → "Skills".

The page has three tabs: "XomiW" (built-in skills you can turn on or off), "Mine" and "Projects".

Create a skill

Click "New skill", then choose how:

  • "Describe it": answer three questions (what the skill helps with, when to use it, how to do it / the rules), and XomiW drafts the skill for you.
  • "Write it": start from a ready-made outline.
  • "Upload": a SKILL.md or .zip file.

The quickest way is from chat: when XomiW has just done something exactly the way you want, click "Save as skill". XomiW pulls out the template, rules and style you asked for or corrected, and makes a draft for you to review and save.

Test and refine

  • "Try it with a request": runs a real turn so you can see how the skill behaves. A test run uses credits like a normal turn, and XomiW shows the estimate first.
  • Every save is a version. You can "Compare with current" or "Restore" an older one.
  • A skill can include attached files (docx/xlsx templates, a logo, scripts). Scripts only run in a separate, isolated environment.
  • "Download (.zip)": get the skill as a .zip package (SKILL.md plus attached files) to keep or use elsewhere.

The app has "Describe it", "Write it", "Upload", "Try it with a request" and a download button at the top of the skill editor. Adding attached files is done on the web.

Scope

A skill can be "Only me", tied to a project, or used by the whole team in a company workspace. The number of personal skills depends on your plan; when you hit the limit, XomiW tells you and suggests deleting some or upgrading.
