Two-way interpreting face to face
Put the device between you: each sentence is translated and read aloud in the listener's language (Vietnamese ⇄ English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese).

Meeting a partner who does not share your language? Put the device between the two of you. When someone finishes a sentence, XomiW translates it and reads it aloud in the other person's language, and shows the text for both.
Start
Web
- Click the sound wave icon in the message box, or More → Meetings → Start a meeting.
- Choose Two-way interpreting.
- Pick your language and your partner's (Vietnamese, English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese).
- Tell your partner, tick the confirmation, press Start (allow the microphone).
Two-way interpreting uses the microphone only (in person, same room). For online meetings use Bilingual captions.
Speaking and listening
- Push to talk: press I speak or Partner speaks (this turns Auto listen off on this device) before talking, press it again when done. The sentence is translated right after.
- Auto listen (default): just talk, no buttons; XomiW tells the languages apart.
- The translation is read aloud in the listener's language. While it plays, the microphone is muted so XomiW does not translate the loudspeaker.
- Stop reading cuts the current sentence. Voice off shows text only.
- A sentence that waited more than 10 seconds (both talking non-stop) is shown but not read, so it never talks over the conversation.
- Pause, ★ Mark, text size and Presenter mode work as in captions.
Tip: speak in short, clear sentences; keep the device close to both of you; in a noisy place use Push to talk.
Afterwards
Leaving the page, closing the tab, a failing microphone or a session still running: as for bilingual captions (the web asks "Leave page?" and the microphone stops when you leave; the app has "Resume session" and returns held credits when the microphone fails).
Press End (XomiW asks you to confirm first): the meeting page has the two-language transcript; Write minutes, Ask about this meeting, Download transcript as in bilingual captions.
Credits
8 credits per started minute of audio, the read-aloud voice included; nothing while paused (or, with Auto listen off, while no talk button is pressed). The translation is machine-made and not an official interpretation: confirm contracts, prices and key figures in writing.
